App Garden – Flickr Community Open a Set Full of Photo Tools
Since the launch of Flickr’s API in August 2004, software developers have built and innovated on top of Flickr’s open Application Programming Interface (API for short).
This means that anyone can write their own program to present public Flickr data (like photos, video, tags, profiles or groups) in new and different ways.
The App Garden is a place where developers can showcase the applications they’ve created and where you can find new ways to explore Flickr.
To help users stumble across great apps, Flickr has also started tagging photos with the tools they were uploaded with, with a link back to that app in the Garden.
