Teach your Teachers and students - SchoolTube
maestroalberto informs me about the new project SchoolTube
This Video Service has its aims to bring a Video Publisher for Teachers and students to combine dynamic curriculum and community outreach programs...so far so good...
Its a flash-based application, which seems a little bit (or bytes *G*) too slowly and actually a little bit buggy(e.g. login form, player behaviour, session handling), but ui handling is comfortable and quite understandable.
SchoolTube is available in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and US schools located across the world, SchoolTube’s mission is to educate and empower educators and students in safe effective video production and internet publishing.
It's a service from Student Television Network, which is made up of affiliate schools from coast to coast with an active interest in furthering scholastic broadcasting and video production.

Another interpretation of WebOS - Paris Jooce
Jooce is a Luxembourg-based internet start-up with R&D operations in Paris. It is a new Flash-based WebOS and currently in private beta.
Jooce enables users to store, share and access their media and applications (such as email and IM) online. The company says that the 'cybercafe generation' is about 500 million people a day, so that is their target audience. Jooce has already received seed funding from Mangrove, initial investors in Skype.

Songs and Bands i grew up with - Arrested Development
It took the group three years, five months and two days to be offered a record deal, when Chrysalis Records sent A&R director Duff Marlowe to Atlanta's Bosstown Studios to meet with the group's manager Michael Mauldin. Arrested Development (Speech, Montsho Eshe, One Love, Nicha, Radason (aka Don Norris), Baba Oje, JJ Boogie, Za) had already been offered a single deal for the song "Tennessee". Hence the name of the first album was 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of..., which produced several hit tracks. These included "Tennessee", "People Everyday", and "Mr. Wendal", which hit the Top Ten. The group won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and Best New Artist, and were also Band of the Year by Rolling Stone magazine.read on wikipedia.org

Gran Paradiso - is this technology going to prevent XSS attacks?
In the last post about the next major version of Firefox i wrote about the easy way to store different online bookmarks with sqlite on your pc.
Yesterday i found a very interested article about mozilla's aims to prevent XSS attacks in its upcoming Firefox 3 browser.
The Alpha 7 development release includes support for a new W3C working draft specification that is intended is secure XML over HTTP requests (often referred to as XHR) which are often the culprit when it comes to XSS attacks. XHR is the backbone of Web 2.0 enabling a more dynamic web experience with remote data.
...
A typical XSS attack vector is one in which a malicious Web site reads the credentials from another that a user has visited. The new specification could well serve to limit that type of attack though it is still incumbent upon Web developers to be careful with their trusted data...
