FTP Services are as old as the Internet itself - so try Onehub

Onehub could just as easily be categorized as a Web-based version of Panic's desktop FTP client Transmit, thanks to its ease-of-use and attention to detail.
The service features two types of "hubs." QuickHubs provide DropSend- or Senduit-like file transfer simplicity, allowing users to establish a location for quickly sending - or receiving - files.
What is FTP?
FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is the universal way to send, receive, and manage your files and folders using the internet. If you manage a web site, need to send a file to a friend running an FTP server, need to post eBay images to a image host, or download a lot of software updates, then Transmit is the perfect program for you: it makes FTP easy and fun!

Pimp My Cam, Raw Baby - Canon Hacker Development Kit
Influenced from/ Based on russian developer GrAnd,
CHDK is an open source software project that can be loaded on cameras using Canon's DIGIC II or DIGIC III firmware platforms. It unleashes new features including RAW file format, live histogram display, a battery readout, and the ability to run scripted actions on a camera.
The Software Kit does not replace your original firmware, so you can every time uninstall/undo it.
The Kit (only 3 files: 'DISKBOOT.BIN', 'PS.FIR' and a language pack 'english.lng') will be stored on the root of your sd card.
I pimped my Canon IXUS 70/SD1000 with allbest-ixus70_sd1000-101b-49.zip and got a lot of new features.
allbest firmware update list can be load from http://malbe.nm.ru/chdk/.
for detailed information and how to install read a howto article from wired.com. very easy to understand...thx.
What camera models are supported by the CHDK program?

Calls Gizmo Project sound even better than Skype?
For those of you not in the know, there are now two programs out there that do free P2P VoIP - Skype has been around for quite awhile now, where Gizmo Project (which may get a new name soon) is a relative newcomer.
Both offer similar paid services, such as the ability to call out to standard phone networks, or the ability to have your own custom inbound number.

My friend asked me if I knew how they compared, in terms of RAM utilization. Skype.exe is eating 22,784K according to Windows XP. Gizmo.exe is using 16,292K. Gizmo wins for size, at least initially, but is still beta and has less functions now.
Any call to a Gizmo Project user is free. No matter when, no matter where, no matter how long. Free. There?s no monthly service charge. Nor is there a set up cost. Gizmo Project is free.
